Four months and counting.

Hey there,

This is my first blog post. I don’t enjoy writing, so I’m going to treat this as an exercise in committing to doing a thing without perfection being the standard. *cringe*

As a momentary distraction, please enjoy this extra cute, super chonky floofer. Her name is Kleo.

Kleo, Ross, and I have four very short months to purge all of our crap, sell the house, and pack the remainder of our belongings into the back of my smaller-than-average SUV.

Personally, I’m really looking forward to letting go of all of the material things that I’ve collected in my house for nearly 10 years. There’s something exciting about simplifying and minimizing the clutter — evaluating every last item for its perceived necessity, selling everything for next to nothing, giving up when Facebook Marketplace gets to be too unwieldy to manage, trying to force family and friends to take things off my hands for the love of god, and convincing Ross that, yes, I do need to keep every single book I’ve ever owned in storage until we return from our year of galavanting around the States.

Ah, freedom.

Pretty obvious that Ross chose the name of the site, amiright?

Anywho, can’t wait to whip up another zinger of a blog post detailing my Facebook Marketplace adventures and home sale prepping plans. In the meantime, wish us luck!
